SK Biopharmaceuticals develops new drugs for the central nervous system, especially epilepsy, and has launched its own epilepsy drug and a sleep disorder drug after US FDA approval. It sells directly in the US and has licensing deals covering Europe, China, Japan, Korea and other regions. It was spun off from the life science unit of SK in 2011 and listed on the KOSPI in 2020.
