About

About Fermata

One beat, held at the close. Fermata publishes end-of-day briefs on the Korean and US stock markets every trading day, plus reference pieces that lay out the numbers behind a stock or sector call, and English guides for foreign investors in Korean equities.

What we publish

What we publish

  • Korea market close · around 16:45 KST on trading days, in Korean and English
  • US market close · around 07:45 KST the next morning, in Korean and English
  • Reference pieces · the criteria behind a call, with the date we checked them, updated over time
  • Guides · rules, taxes, and mechanics foreign investors need for Korean stocks

How we work

How we work

  • Prices come from exchange closing data collected automatically; every chart is drawn from that data, never typed by hand.
  • We state a cause for a move only when at least three independent sources confirm it. Unconfirmed causes are labeled as such.
  • Before publishing, figures are checked against the price data; after publishing, the live page is re-read and verified.
  • Photos carry their source and photographer; data graphics are made by Fermata.
  • AI editing tools do the research and drafting; people set the editorial standards and review.
