Samsung C&T traces its roots to a business founded in 1938 and took its current structure through a merger with a group affiliate in 2015. As the parent company of its business group, it has 136 subsidiaries. It runs 6 divisions: construction, trading, fashion, resorts, food service and ingredient distribution, and biotech, and its trading division operates 64 overseas bases in 42 countries.
