About
KakaoPay was set up in 2017 when Kakao contributed its fintech business in kind, and it listed on the KOSPI in 2021. It offers payment services, financial services such as loan comparison, investment and insurance, and platform services including advertising, card recommendations and telecom brokerage. The company says it launched Korea's first simple payment service in 2014, and its subsidiaries include securities and non-life insurance units.
