CJ CheilJedang makes basic foods such as sugar and flour and processed foods such as instant rice and dumplings, and also runs a bio business including amino acids and logistics, parcel delivery and construction businesses. It was created in 2007 when CJ Corporation's manufacturing arm was spun off, and traces its roots to 1953. During the year it sold its stakes in 14 units in its F&C segment.
