Samsung Card, founded in 1983, is a specialized credit finance company whose ultimate parent is a life insurer, and it owns several securitization vehicles. It runs card, installment and lease financing, and insurance agency businesses built on a large base of cardholders and merchants. It has introduced 24-hour card screening and issuance, digital member recruitment and data-driven personalized marketing.
