Korea Electric Power was established in 1982 under the Korea Electric Power Corporation Act and is Korea's only public electricity supplier, with 169 consolidated subsidiaries including 6 power generation companies. It generates, transmits, distributes and sells electricity, with electricity sales making up 94.8% of revenue from external customers. After building nuclear plants in the UAE, it won a new nuclear project in the Czech Republic and is expanding renewables such as offshore wind.
