About
Samsung SDI makes lithium-ion rechargeable batteries in its energy solutions division, which provides 94% of sales, and semiconductor and display materials in its electronic materials division. Founded in 1970 and listed in 1979, it has 22 subsidiaries in countries including Hungary, the United States and Malaysia. It targets mass production of all-solid-state batteries in 2027, is developing sodium batteries and is expanding into robots and aerospace.
